SPORTS FACILITIES

  Education at SJCET is not confined to the courses a student selects, our endeavor is to aid in the overall development of each of our student. This includes physical fitness, mental and physical agility, team spirit and the discipline and drive required to work towards a goal, not to mention the ability to loosen up and have some fun. That’s where our extensive sports facilities fit in.

  Sport is an integral part of the curriculum. SJCET provides an adequate sport facilities including Cricket, Football, Hockey, Volley Ball, and Basketball, Kabaddi in the sprawling campus area.

  Various sports competitions such as inter departmental, Inter collegiate, Inter University, etc help in developing team spirit in students. Sports and games help the students to improve their interpersonal relationship in healthy manner. Talented students are honored with medals, trophies and certificates. SJCET College Team have participated and won many sports events in Tamil Nadu including Anna University Zonal Championship.

  We are glad to inform that Our Department of Physical Education have been conducting Inter School Sports Meet for school students in and around thanjavur every year. Our College also conducting Annual Sports Meet every year to encourage our students to pursue excellence in their chosen sports.
